I'd steal your heart before you ever heard a thing
I'm an assassin and I had a job to do
Little did I know that boy was an assassin too
Well, I guess this is a pretty literal interpretation of John Mayer's song "Assassin" except that it doesn't take place at night and that it's in the avatar universe between Zuko and Katara. (The text from the song is from her point of view so that's why it says "boy")
It's a sort of alternative universe I guess where Aang never came back so the world is still at war and Katara (older, maybe 18 years old) is put on a mission to eliminate Prince Zuko (older, maybe 20 years old), the heir to the Fire Nation.
Katara manages to infiltrate the highly guarded capital and decides to go with the seduction approach to get him to drop his guard so she can stab him in the back with a knife-sharp icicle.
She poses as the new handmaid to get close to him and to get his attention and she gets it, but Zuko knows what Katara looks like from the research on the Water Tribes his father made him go through. However, he decides to play along since the heir to the Southern Water Tribe has come to him by her own free will.
He plan to let her think he's seduced and to make her believe he's dropping his guard when the clothes finally, after many weeks of teasing and sexual tension, comes off in an apartment room just outside the palace. However, as soon as he's given her the kiss of her life, he means to pull her head back and as she would catch her breath, he'd slit her throat with his fire dagger and be one step closer to winning the war.
He didn't plan for what he'd feel about the kiss though and neither did Katara, who finds herself getting caught off guard by her own deceptive plan.
What happens next is up to you.

Idk why I spent so freakishly much time on this thing, it was probably not worth all the work, but I guess I at least got to practice some stuff, like highlights (maybe I should learn how to do shadows properly first tho...)
(The background is obviously not done by me, I just wanted something pretty instead of an empty white background)
I was thinking, since fire apparently immediately cauterize the wound, would him slitting her throat be lethal? If not then I guess he'd plan to use it some other way that would be lethal. I honestly don't really know what kind of damage fire does in atla but I suppose since Zuko uses fire daggers he would be able to find some dagger/knife resembling use for them.
